And that’s it. No work of art to be sure, but solid and functional, quick and relatively inexpensive.

As far as I can say it’s finished and ready for work. Of course It’s never really finished, no doubt I’ll be adding and altering as long as I have the energy and will to work in here.

Eight meters of bench space along the back wall.

Gotta have either the radio or music playing while I work. Here you can see my trusty old Technics amp from 1991, and ADS speakers from the eighties. They still sound terrific. Cygnus X1 provides the source for the amp. This PC has been used by various members of the family and has settled here. It has worked without fault for seven years and the only upgrade has been the addition of a samsung SSD and a WiFi card.

Various machines are mounted on wheels so they can be bundled up in the corner when not in use. To store large sheet and other bits of wood, a mobile storage rack was knocked up. This is also used for clamp storage.

One corner is devoted to drill press, grinder, sander etc.

The main work area is in the center with plenty of space on two large tables.

Cyclone dust extractor for the drop saw was rigged up using the top from a $39 shop vac, a plastic bucket, a small ebay cyclone and some MDF. Works great.
